Yes, I am still around.
In the last two years I have done some more or less "conventional" investing in Buffalo, NY (one 4 unit held for rental, and 2 SFR's purchased at city tax sale and one SFR purchased from bank that have been rehabbed and are on the market). However, between the high price of gas and the 6 hour drive each way I am looking to invest closer to home. Also looking for a method that does not require so much out of pocket- auctions and rehabs can tie up a lot of cash! So, subto in northern NJ would seem to fit the bill.
I haven't taken the plunge yet though- caught up in "analysis paralysis"!
I know I need to market, I think I need to interview some attys to review my paperwork and do closings (if I ever get a deal!!), but going from "planning" to "action" is proving to be really difficult.
Any sage words of advise?
