hi im pretty new to this, i wanted to find some mortgagees or people with seller financed notes, im pretty much clueless where to look. ive tried my county courthouse and didnt get very far. any help will be greatly apreciated.
I haven't purchased notes in many years. I used to contact real estate offices since they represent the sellers who are carrying the notes. I also ran ads in the newspaper.
I am sure that there are websites that have notes for sale. Perhaps someone on TCI will give you some specific sites.
rvolpe21 I have looked up mortgage notes for many years and NY is a pain to find them. Most of the time you just go to the clerk of court/recorder (or online if available) and look through the computers data bases. If you do a search by name use only one letter like "a", narrow down to a specific time frame, choose the grantee or morgagee option and scan through the results until you find a persons name not a company.
